The ACS on all CS 1.6 game servers have been going crazy ever since we allowed everyone to be able to join our servers again. Because of this, legitimate players were being banned and blacklisted at the same time therefore not allowing them to come back anymore. I've since then disabled our ACS temporarily, it will be back as soon as I can find a patch or an update that stops it from going crazy.

After a lot of going back and forth I finally decided to let everyone in again in our servers. Everyone can now play in all the PGN game servers regardless of their client and their client's version. So please spread the word around and let everyone know about this.

The main dedicated server was updated and upgraded today (December 2, 2008). So far it looks like the update and upgrade went fine. If you notice anything wrong like slow loading times, broken download links, broken http links please report them in our forum. The last thing I'd want is a semi-functioning server. Thank you!

I've patched all of our CS 1.6 servers to accept all kinds of Protocol 48 clients. Please upgrade all your CS 1.6 installations to Protocol 48 to make everything work. Again, our servers only accept Protocol 48 clients (Not protocol 47). If you have CS 1.6 that still uses Protocol 47, please update it to Protocol 48. Otherwise you will never be able to play in our servers.

The full Left 4 Dead game is now available on the PC and Xbox 360. To celebrate this awesome game, I made a dedicated server just for you guys. The hostname is l4d.ca.joinpgn.com and the port is 27015, so please add it to your favorites! The server can do both CO-OP and VERSUS mode, the mode change is dependent on the map so if it's a CO-OP map then it will choose the CO-OP mode and vice versa.

Steam released an update today affecting all HL1 servers. The update patches the HL1 servers against some exploits - this should eliminate the random crashes that you guys are experiencing from time to time. As with other Steam updates, it will have an effect on our maps that do not have 32 slots by default (i.e. cs_assault). Please post in our forum if you encounter such maps.

The last time Psychostats was implemented, a lot of regular players complained about the way the new Psychostats 3.1 calculates their rank. Because you need to kill higher ranking players to be able to move up a rank. Since PS (Psychostats) is implemented in all the servers it was difficult to hunt down the top players of each server which is why ranks never really changed at all. This time around though we'll be using the old method which is ELO (ELO Formula).

Please update your PGN bookmarks, our website now points to http://joinpgn.com/ instead of http://www.joinpgn.com/ , it's a small domain change and I made sure that whenever the address http://www.joinpgn.com/ is used, it will automatically redirect to http://joinpgn.com/. However, just to make sure that everything works out fine please update your PGN bookmarks., this should also reduces the chances of you getting an error.

Ever since the update, the PGN redirect servers running under Windows seems to have a problem redirecting players to the actual servers, simply put they can see the servers in the master list but they can't connect to it. I myself can't even connect to them so I moved all the redirect servers to my dedicated box which is running GNU/Linux, so far so good as I can connect to the redirect servers and I get redirected to the actual servers.
