PGN is proud to announce XFactor Gaming Servers as a server sponsor for PGN. Everyone probably knows by now that the partnership with Branzone has ended (in good terms) a couple of months ago and I have to relocate all the game servers to my dedicated servers in California. Many players have asked me if I'm trying to find another sponsor for PGN and I often tell them that as soon as I have the time, I'll go send out letters to companies. [PGN]DIEZ3L (Sarath) was kind enough to donate his time and volunteer into finding a sponsor for PGN...joining forums and sending mails to game server companies. So please don't forget to thank him for this partnership between PGN and XFactor Gaming Servers as he did most of the work.

The reason for the downtime was really simple and something that I've overlooked a long time ago when I upgraded the CPU to a quad core - I forgot to replace the heatsink with a quad-core compatible heatsink, so just imagine a dual-core heatsink trying to cool down a quad-core CPU...you get the idea.

There has been a Valve update today for CS 1.6 and CZ and it has a great effect on how our game servers run. The update today fixes the work around with the connect command. We use the connect command to redirect our players if the server is full to another server and without that some servers will stay full all the time instead of distributing the players in all our servers.

Ever since I've changed my wireless adapter, I've been having this lag spikes when playing games. At first I thought it was just my cable company doing some maintenance work but the more I play the, more I see a pattern. It's not just random lag spikes, it feels like every minute or so I get one. This tutorial will help you fix the 60 +/- second lag spikes that you get in Microsoft Vista.
