Requirements
Installation Installation was smooth as a butter except of course for the usual since this is a non-Valve game. That means it will try to install the latest version of DirectX 9 on your computer. First Impressions I don't know if you guys are old enough to know that this isn't really the first Prince of Persia game. The very first one was developed in 1989 by Jordan mechner. It was a 2D game and my god was it frustrating. It was hard...it was so hard that I can't even remember if I've completed the game or not. That was then and using early 21st century technology, this is what Prince of Persia looks like now.
Singleplayer The game is gorgeous! Most of you guys already know that I'm a fan of this kind of art in games. Playing the first few minutes of this game made me realize that you can never die because Elika will always save you. Not really what I expect considering that I keep dying on the first ever Prince of Persia game back in the 90's. No biggie, this will make me finish the game faster and it takes the the ARGH I DIED! trauma when my senses fail to detect that I have to hang on a cliff a little bit longer than usual.
The control's are not that bad, you just have to get used to it especially when you enter combat mode. Who doesn't like combos in a game!? I just wish there were more combos because sooner or later you'll know that there's just a specific type of combo that you need to do in order to finish your opponents really quick (if you're in a hurry). But if you enjoy being the under dog the first time and getting all those close up shots and slow motion's then all is still good since this game absolutely knows when to do it for you.
Multiplayer Prince of Persia doesn't have any multiplayer mode so I'm going to skip this section. Final Thoughts I got to say that this modern Prince of Persia game set the benchmark for other up coming Prince of Persia games out there. The only weak point for this game is the story so if you're not really into it the first few levels, I doubt you'd have the patience to finish it. The boss fights aren't impressive as well, and this is because like I said you'll find that a specific set of combos will usually finish them off in a less than a minute or so. What kept me from playing this game is the visuals..I absolutely love it.
