Requirements
Installation Since I bought the game in Steam, installation was a snap! It's like Buy -> Install -> Play! First Impressions Since I can max out the graphics settings for this game, all I can say is it looks stunning. Sure it's not Crysis but with everything maxed out and then add anti-aliasing, the game definitely looks beautiful. A lot of people say that Titan's Quest is a Diablo II clone and I can see some resemblances and all but only because I think the user-interface of Diablo II was top-notch so why not just 'copy the concept' right? I think it was a smart move by the developers to do that.
Playing Titan's Quest for the very first time made me feel like I'm going to play the game again...and again...and again. There's one thing I noticed though, why do I have to constantly click the damn monster just to kill it? Why can't I just click once and then just watch my character killing the monster? Of course I did not forget that it's a hack n' slash game but seriously, constantly clicking will pretty much wear my G5 mouse out and that's going to be upsetting if that happens.
Singleplayer Playing by yourself isn't that boring as you level up since you get more cool-looking skills! Plus you get pets (depending on your skill mastery). I choose Shadow and Nature so I get to have the awesome Lich King and then some wolves and a Dryad. Pets definitely makes leveling easier since you can just run around and then let your pets kill the monsters as the monsters follow you trying to kill you. I wish I could name my pets or at least be able to set distances on how I want to play them (me being the starting point).
There's two different kinds of quest, a main one that you need to finish in order to move on to the next main quest and then there's a bunch of side quests that you can choose to do or not do. I suggest you try and complete all of them, I mean isn't that what RPG games are for? From Diablo to Fallout, I wasted well more than 100 hours of game time (per game) just to complete all of them. I'm not even surprised if I'm going to do the same for Titan's Quest, why? Because they're quests man! Quests are awesome if you're not the type of I'm going to finish the game A.S.A.P. man. Multiplayer Some people will say that multi-player will be 'the' one that makes or breaks a game, I beg to differ because Titan's Quest's multi-player suck really bad. And that's because you will have to host your own game or join someone who is hosting their own game, in short there's no dedicated server. I wish there was so I can just load it up on one of my dedicated servers and be happy that no single player that joins my game will hog my bandwidth. I mean who will join the other games if they all ping more than 250? Seriously. I know I wouldn't. After that I hosted my own multi-player game and even with broadband internet it sucked because we all know the upload limit that we get here in the United States. It's just wasn't enough to host 6 players at the same time and I hate it when I see people skipping in front of me when I'm trying to heal them or something.
Final Thoughts I really enjoyed playing the single-player part of Titan's Quest since I don't have to bother playing in a laggy environment (multi-player) and I think that's where the game really shines. Don't get me wrong, I love multiplayer RPG's if and only if there's a dedicated server to host a game. What was Iron Lore thinking? That we all have more than 10Mbps upload? Maybe in 2012 or something majority of the people will be able to afford it but right now even if you have a 100Mbps download speed, the game's multi-player will suck if your upload is only limited to 512Kbps (which I think majority of Cable and DSL offer here in the USA).

Titan's Quest is an action-style role-playing game developed by Iron Lore and published by THQ. Players take the role of a hero/heroine and they fight their way through 3 major places - Sparta/Greece, Egpyt, and Asia. Having been branded as another Diablo II clone, does Titan's Quest offer new features and styles of gameplay or is it really just another sucky Diablo II clone?
